Cove House
with Stephen Holt Architects
This 1950's concrete block house was dismantled piece by piece and rebuilt on the footprint of the original foundation. It has an open, airy layout that transitions seamlessly between the many levels of the house. The stairs cascade around the core of the building to a crisp, modern kitchen, which leads down to the living room with a blue concrete floor. Glass is a major player, including a 21 foot sliding door to the patio. The spiral stair, built by master stair builder Wally Schwall, provides a unique ascent to the tower that overlooks the water.
